Competition Requirements for Mrs. Colorado United States:
Judging is based on Personal Interview/On-Stage Question, Evening Gown, and Swimsuit. Each area will count equally toward overall score. Judging is based on a score of 1-15 in each area. The high and low score will be dropped. In the event there is a tie, we will always reference the Interview score.
Panel Interview - This is a 17.5 minute interview with 5 Qualified Judges one-on-one from across the State. You will need a business style dress suit (no pants please). You may have some rhinestones on your suit, but simple is best. You are being judged on your ability to communicate. This is your opportunity to share your views, your passion, and your platform (if you have one). A BRIEF introduction upon entering the room is fine- no more than 15 seconds. Interview counts as 2/3 of interview score.
On Stage Question - Each contestant will answer an question during on-stage competition - this is a question about marriage, community, platform and goals. On Stage Question counts as 1/3 of interview score. Your combined interview score is 1/3 of your total score.
Swimsuit - You may wear any 1 or 2 piece swimsuit chosen by the Mrs. Colorado United States pageant. You are being judged on your fitness and confidence. Lady M will be our Swimsuit Brand this year and will be ordered from The Winning Crown Boutique! High heels also are worn, any height. Swimsuit counts as 1/3 of your total score.
Gown - This needs to be a full length gown of your choice. You may choose simple or beaded. You are being judged on your grace, elegance, stage presence, beauty of face, poise and sense of style. Evening Gown counts as 1/3 of your total score.

What do I do first?
1) Contact me. Select a local title that you would be proud to represent (your city, county or area). Email or call the director if you are unable to download the application from the website and we will send you an application. Titles are first come, first served (there is a section on the application to indicate your choice). After you submit your form, along with your $100 application fee, you will be notified and sent your official banner! When you get your official local title holder banner you can begin making appearances, and gaining support and sponsorship from your community.
2) HAVE FUN & BE YOURSELF!!! The best pageant experiences happen for those contestants who understand that the journey is far more valuable than a crown. Be confident in who you are and what goals you have! Please remember to be true to yourself and focus on celebrating YOU!
3) Once we receive your official application, we will contact you about your local title and your will be that much closer to becoming Mrs. Colorado United States 2013!
Who Can Enter the Mrs. Colorado United States Pageant?
Married women (living with their spouse) who are 21 years old (no age limit). Email us if you have questions regarding your eligibility. Children and length of Marriage are not factors in our judging process. No pageant experience is necessary! You must be a United States Citizen by Pageant Weekend 2013 to enter.

What local titles are available and how do I select a local title?
Local titles are awarded on a first come, first served basis! Choose your local city or county - ex. Mrs. Denver, Mrs. Fort Collins, Mrs. Littleton, etc...
Do I have to have a platform to compete?
No. You can enter the pageant because you want to celebrate your family, your marriage and you! I feel that it is important to make a difference, and a platform during your time as a local/state title holder certainly provides a valuable resource and opens many doors and opportunities for appearances and media coverage.
What can I expect when I become an official contestant in the Mrs. Colorado United States Pageant?
My support and help during your journey! You will also be able to call me if you have any questions. I can help you with Sponsor letters and presentation, bio assistance, appearances and wardrobe. I am only a phone call away.
